History

Our department was established in 1998 at the İki Eylül campus. With a total indoor area of 5000 m², our department employs 8 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 9 Assistant Professors, 1 Lecturer, and 7 Research Assistants on a full-time basis. Under our department, there are seven scientific branches: Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics, Mechanics, Transportation, Structures, Construction Materials, and Construction Management. With its broad academic staff and laboratory facilities, our department aims to equip its students and researchers with all the theoretical and practical teachings of the field. The administrative management of the program is carried out by the Head of the Civil Engineering Program Department. Decisions regarding the program are made by a board consisting of the Heads of the Departments. The graduate programs conducted under the Department of Civil Engineering have been affiliated with the Graduate School of Eskişehir Technical University, which was established by the Law No. 7141 published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30425.
